How the license works
Three things are separate: the license, which you buy once; annual maintenance and support, included in year one and optional from year two; and, only if you choose it, hosting in Sydion's data center, billed annually from year one.

You buy iCAM once. It's not a subscription, and the license doesn't expire.

Give access to everyone who needs it. Permissions, not seat counts, decide what each person can do.

Every license includes every feature. There are no editions, tiers or add-on modules to buy later.

Facility licenses as you grow
A facility is a participating agency or organization, such as a county within a state program, not a building. Start with the facilities you need and add facility licenses as your program grows. The storage locations inside a facility, from buildings down to shelves, need no license of their own.

Your inventory records belong to your agency, wherever iCAM is hosted.
Support and maintenance
The first year of maintenance and support comes with the license. After that, it's your choice.

Common questions
Is iCAM a subscription?
No. iCAM is bought once, under a perpetual license that doesn't expire. Annual maintenance and support are optional from year two, and Sydion data center hosting, if you choose it, is a separate annual fee.
Do we pay for each user?
No. There are no per-user fees. You license facilities, not people.
What counts as a facility?
A participating agency or organization, such as a county within a state program. A facility is not a building: warehouses, rooms, racks and shelves are storage locations within a facility.
What does annual maintenance include?
Support, updates, new versions and training. The first year of maintenance and support is included with the license; from year two, annual maintenance and support are optional.
Is hosting included in the license?
No. If you run iCAM in your own environment, you pay no Sydion hosting fee. If you choose Sydion's data center, hosting is a separate annual fee, starting in year one.
Who owns the data?
You do, whether iCAM runs on your servers or in our data center. Each agency hosted by Sydion has its own dedicated database.
